Issue No. 2

Road Maintenance

Township crews paved sections of Yellow Creek Drive, Robin Lane and Birchwood Street during the 2007 paving season.  The 2008 projects will be sections of Brallier Station Road, Polecat Hollow Road and several others which are under evaluation.

Emergency Management

There are many Township residents that do not have their reflective house numbers on their house or at the end of their driveways.  We encourage all residents to put there reflective numbers into use.  They are beneficial to the resident in case of an emergency.  The Pennsylvania State Police, Fire and EMS personnel rely on these numbers to locate you as quickly as possible.  Therefore, saving crucial minutes in your emergency.

Sewer Project Update

The township will begin Phase 2 of our sewer project.  We have broken the township into three zones.

Zone one will consist of all the homes on Ritchey Bridge Rd, Brallier Station, south end of Plank Rd., south end of Raystown Rd., West Cypher Rd, East Cypher Rd., Mt. Rose Beach and Locust Beach.

Zone 2 will consist of PoleCat Hollow Rd, Penrod Beach Rd, northern end of Plank Rd, Foor Rd, Recreational Dr, Snyder Rd., Piper Hill Rd, Clark Rd. and Price Hill Rd.

Zone 3 will consist of Ridge Rd, Douglas Rd., Marble City, Rd., Farmers Valley Rd, O’Neal Rd, Jacks Corner Rd. and Woodbury Pike

You will receive a letter outlining the procedure for phase two and what your responsibilities will be.  A sewage enforcement officer will come to your home to inspect your system.  You will be responsible for the inspection fee and any repair cost required.

We will start with Zone 1 and work our way through until we have inspected all homes not on public sewer.  We anticipate letters going out for Zone 1 sometime in late April.  Please plan accordingly.  If your road is not listed, you will be in the zone where the road closest to you is listed.

If you have any questions contact the township office.
